The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) is soliciting bids for Rotork Actuators & Associated Equipment for use at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (“CVG”). The Environmental Operations Department is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the environmental systems at CVG airport. One of the main responsibilities of Environmental Operations is to collect, convey, store, and treat spent aircraft deicing fluid (“SADF”) from deicing activities. Environmental Operations actuates valves, utilizing electric Rotork actuators, on the deice pads to collect and send high concentrated glycol through the glycol conveyance system to storage tanks. The stored SADF is used to feed microorganisms at the treatment plant. Environmental Operations also actuates sluice gates, via electric Rotork actuators, to isolate flow to various components at the treatment plant as well as being responsible for the management of water at four dams. Three of these dams utilize electric Rotork actuators to control the movement of the sluice gates to control the water level.
