The Government Publishing Office (GPO) publishes trusted information for the Federal Government to the American people. GPO produces and distributes information products and services for all three branches of the Federal Government, including U.S. passports for the Department of State as well as the official publications of Congress, the White House, and other Federal agencies in digital and print formats.
GPO is in need to refurbish and renovate 4,200 SQFT of the floors in Building D on the second floor to allow for heavy carts filled with paper to move freely on the floor. The current poor floor condition is one of the biggest contributions to the production waste due to the damaged/cracked old wood floor or missed the wood tiles. There are a mix of the wooden tiles floor and concrete floors in this location. The existing wooden part of the floors needs to be demolished and removed, this work part will be completed by the GPO internally. Approximately 2,200 SQFT of the new concrete floor should be install by the contractor, approximately 2,000 SQFT of current concrete floor should be milled and filled with the new concrete.
