The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is a component of the Department of the Treasury that designs, engraves, and prints U.S. banknote currency and other U.S. security products. In support of these operations at BEP’s District Currency Facility (DCF), the BEP has a need for a new Differential Scanning Calorimeter- Photocalorimeter Accessory (DSC-PCA).
The Office of Quality Operations (OQO) seeks to acquire a new DSC-PCA system to support quality assurance testing of BEP manufactured and vendor supplied screen printing inks/materials. The DSC-PCA system will be used to perform thermal analysis of ink/materials used in currency manufacturing and develop new methods associated with the analysis of Ultraviolet (UV) curable inks/materials.
