SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE



WHUG HB15019A, CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SPRAY BOOTH AND VENTILATION SYSTEM in Washington, DC.



The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for construction of the House Office Building Spray Booth and Ventilation System located in the West House Underground Garage in Washington, DC for the CAO Finishing Shop. This announcement is to determine the interest, availability, size classification, socioecoomic status and capability of firms to perform the work described below. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The construction will likely start in the Summer of 2024. The estimated construction cost is estimated between $4,000,000 and $6,000.000.



PROJECT OBJECTIVES



The project consists of construction of a new Spray Booth and Ventilation systems within a newly constructed Finishing Shop within the existing underground garage. The work includes updated programming within an existing space along with associated system upgrades to support the change in programming. The scope of work includes architectural, structural, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, hazardous material remediation, spray booth system installation and fire protection Systems and life-safety. The Spray Booth shall be a 9,000 CFM 3 stage filtration system booth with remote mounted 11,650 CFM inline exhaust fan. The spray booth basis of the design is a Rohner Modified Cross Draft.



The work will be conducted within an underground garage. The Government will occupy the site and existing building(s) during entire the construction period, with the exception of areas under construction. The project will be constructed under a single prime construction contract, responsible for successful performance of the entire scope of work.



The Contractor shall provide all supervision, plant, labor, materials, tools, and equipment, to carry out all work and operations as necessary. All work shall be completed in accordance with all federal, state, District and local laws and regulations.



INTERESTED PARTIES



Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include their qualifications and experience with performing projects of similar size, nature, and complexity. Please indicate what qualifications, certifications, or past experience uniquely qualifies the offeror's firm to perform the above-described work. Please include at least two specific examples of the firm's experience performing the work requirements stated above. The projects must have been performed within the last ten years. Please indicate the team of subcontractors that will be used to support the offeror's effort and include their prior experience and qualifications if subcontractors are planned to be used. Please provide your firm's socioeconomic status within your response.



Responses are limited to 10 pages. Responses are due Tuesday 11/7/2023 by 4:00 PM (EST) and should be addressed to Troy Dorsey, AOC Contracting Officer, and sent via email to troy.dorsey@aoc.gov. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this Sources Sought nor return the data provided. This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The results of this Sources Sought will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
