Description

The National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC), is seeking a qualified consultant team to provide professional services to prepare the New Pennsylvania Avenue Plan (New PA Plan) through a Full and Open Competition.





Federal and District agencies have come together and agree that now is the time to update the antiquated Pennsylvania Avenue Plan 1974 (1974 Plan) to guide physical improvements and operations for the next 50 years. Building on the vision, early concepts, and studies completed to date, the NCPC in collaboration with federal and District partners, seeks a qualified consultant team to prepare the New Pennsylvania Avenue Plan (New PA Plan). The New PA Plan will include a Public Space Master Plan and an Implementation Program for the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor.





The 1974 Plan focuses on an approximately 116-acre area that encompasses the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor from 3rd Street, NW to 15th Street, NW and several blocks to the north along its length.
