This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. The contract awarded will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity. The purpose of this Solicitation is to establish a partnership with a Contractor that derives at least 80% of the company’s gross revenue from roofing or building waterproofing and has a primary NAICS code 23816 (Roofing Contractor).
The Smithsonian Institution (SI) intends to contract with a firm to provide all coordination, supervision, labor, material, and equipment necessary for Roof, Skylight, and Building Maintenance and Repairs at various Smithsonian Institution buildings, located in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and New York. This project consists of three parts: Preventive Maintenance (PM), Emergency Repairs, and Permanent Repairs for all Building Envelop components of SI buildings.
The Period of Performance is one year for the Base Contract with an additional 9 optional one-year periods.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) will consist of two parts. Part 1: Technical Proposal in which the Offerors establish their qualifications in accordance with the following Evaluation Standards: (1) Firm’s Experience and Past Performance, (2) Key Personnel and Subcontractors. Part 2: Schedule of Values and Contract Price. A Subcontracting Plan will be required for all large businesses.
Contractors must be registered in the sam.gov prior to award.
