This project includes design, build, operate and maintenance (DBOM) of one common use BHS Independent Carrier System (ICS) that will serve the demands of both domestic and international flights and baggage at CVG. This will include spaces for passenger check-in, in-line baggage screening machines in a new TSA CBIS/CBRA area, Customer Service Building, Terminal (baggage claim area, mechanical levels, basements), BHS Tunnel, Concourse B, and installation of outbound sortation Make Up Units and inbound conveyors in Concourse A. 100% design and associated cost estimate of the BHS ICS from Terminal Building to/from Concourse A Make Up Units and to/from Concourse B must be included. Two Added Alternates are considered in this project: Add Alternate 1 is construction of ICS from Concourse A Tunnel Level to/from Concourse B; and, Add Alternate 2 is design/build of an ICS Early Bag Storage (EBS) system. All design and costs are to include Engineer evaluation of required utility improvements, control panels and demolition of existing BHS within ICS rights-of-way and to be decommissioned BHS systems. Annual cost estimates of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for the entire BHS ICS must be included, which includes annual cost estimates for Add Alternate 1 and Add Alternate 2.
