Description

The purpose of the AHARI is to build a collaboration between Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) and Historically Black College and Universities(HBCUs) in the design and implementation of innovative program support and research initiatives, which will inform the design and delivery of BHA emergency humanitarian assistance programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. The RFI is intended to help BHA obtain information on the capacity and interest of potential HBCUs to support the goal and objectives described in the attached Concept Note; and to obtain input from HBCUs interested in supporting the AHARI. USAID is conducting market research to determine the most suitable acquisition or assistance strategy and instrument for the upcoming AHARI project. USAID requests that any interested organization review the Concept Note in Attachment 1 and provide responses to the questions contained in Attachment 2. Please note that USAID is specifically interested in determining the capacity of HBCUs to manage BHA emergency program grants and contracts.
