This amendment rescinds the guidance Treasury issued in the December 21, 2021 Special Notice (as amended prior to May 12, 2023) regarding Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.
Treasury’s guidance on this topic is rescinded effective May 12, 2023, as a result of the issuance of “Executive Order on Moving Beyond COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Federal Workers,” dated May 09, 2023, which revokes Executive Order 14042.
Effective immediately, Treasury shall remove the clause at FAR 52.223-99 (OCT 2021)(Deviation) – Ensuring Adequate COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors from all solicitations.
Treasury will take no action to enforce the clause at FAR 52.223-99 (OCT 2021)(Deviation) – Ensuring Adequate COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors in existing contracts.
