This is a notice of intent to award of a delivery order on a sole source basis under the authority of 6.302-2 unusual and compelling urgency to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, LLC (GS-07F-225CA) for the purpose of providing mission-critical services and maintenance of the existing systems which includes providing and installing IP based cameras, an intercom system, and access control server that is consistent and compatible with the current system.

A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is based on the company's unique ability to satisfy the agency's urgent requirement and to minimize potential system security functionality and compatibility issues to the maximum extent practicable. Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, LLC (GS-07F-225CA) is the only company with rights to the system and software thus minimizing potential risks associated with the introduction of devices that may not be fully compatible to the current system configuration which could create a potential security risk and could degrade network functionality below an acceptable standard.

The Government contemplates an award from this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability but this synopsis is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. The determination by the Government to not compete this proposed requirement is based solely within the discretion of the Government.

Any Information received will be considered solely for the purpose informational material and may be used when or if future similar requirements arise to assist the Government in considering whether the capacity to conduct a competitive procurement for future similar requirements exists.

The sole source purchase order to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, LLC (GS-07F-225CA). will be issued without further notice. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.

The anticipated expenditures for this requirement’s period of performance will be approximately $35,000.
